I've read a great book that might help you. It's called Hope in a Jar by Kathy Peiss. It's got a lot of history of makeup in it. Here's a link to it on Amazon:

Go to google and type: Makeup + history.





It would give you plenty of websites all about it.
i wouldn't get stuff off the internet. i'd go to the library that will give you the information you really need. if you have a cool library they should have some informative and cool books.
